Morphological Features
Body robust, length 13.3–17 mm, maximum width in elytra 5.7–7.2 mm. Black, tegument smooth and bright, especially ventrally. Head with eyes slightly convex; epistome not triangular, unarmed, separated from gena by a sinuosity; gular groove wide and deep. Antennae long, filiform, reaching but not surpassing pronotal base; antennomere 1 sturdy, 2 small, 3 about 3.25× longer than wide, 4–8 decreasing in length, 9 subquadrate, 10 slightly transverse, 11 conical. Pronotum convex, slightly transverse, 1.22–1.35× wider than long, maximum width at middle; sides curved, base margined by a groove, slightly sinuous before posterior angles which are obtuse; punctation fine but perceptible, dense. Elytra convex, oval-elongated, 1.4–1.58× longer than wide, 2.63–2.9× longer than pronotum, maximum width at middle; punctures fine, sometimes imperceptible; apex not spiniform, epipleural margins not fused into a thorn. Propleurae and prosternum smooth, with small punctures. Abdominal sternites smooth, last urosternite apex bifid. Legs graceful; male protibiae with noticeable sexual dimorphism. Aedeagus large, parameres clearly longer than phallobase.
