Genus-level diagnosis based on adult morphology. Body length and width not specified. General shape and coloration not described. Head, eyes, antennae, mouthparts, pronotum, wings, tegmina, legs, abdomen, surface sculpture, punctation, pubescence, scales, and color markings not described. Male genitalia: pygophore bell-shaped, globoid, quadrangular, or rounded; genital cup widely open, deeply excavated, or partially open; inner wall of genital cup thickened, often forming dark, brim-shaped processes; posterolateral angles slightly concave and apically darkened; ventral surface of genital cup with dark punctures or ferruginous punctures; median spine or small median tooth present in some species; dorsal margin concave with 1+1 apical rounded processes; external and internal walls of genital cup densely pilose in some species. Female genitalia: thickening of vaginal intima positioned on posterior half of gonapophyses 9 and projecting ventrally. Scutellum apex with blackened margins.
