Jalysus sobrinus

Adult. Body elongate and slender, total length 6.12–7.65 mm, maximum width across hemelytra 0.85–1.18 mm. Head subspherical, impunctate; length 0.62–0.79 mm, width across eyes 0.62–0.71 mm, interocular space 0.35–0.41 mm. Antennae long and slender; segment I (scape) length 4.82–5.18 mm, segment II (pedicel) 2.12–2.65 mm, segment III (basiflagellomere) 2.35–2.71 mm, segment IV (distiflagellomere) 1.29–1.47 mm, segment IV extensively white. Pronotum median length 0.82–1.06 mm, posterior width 1.00–1.29 mm. Legs long, threadlike, with combined femur and tibia length longer than body; legs with strongly spotted pattern, spots often coalescing. Ostiolar process (peritreme) spout-shaped, ending in an acute spine. Hemelytra with maximum width as above. Abdomen impunctate ventrally. Male genital capsule and parameres distinctive.
