Heterachthes

Head capsule reddish brown, dark orangish-brown ventrally and on antennal tubercles. Antennal tubercles moderately elevated and abruptly inclined posteriorly. Frons finely punctate-scabrous laterally, sub-smooth centrally. Area between antennal tubercles and upper eye lobes finely, abundantly, partially confluent punctate. Pronotum with five slightly elevated gibbosities or three tubercles (one small subconical on each side of posterior half and one large elongate central). Pronotum mostly dark brown, with light reddish-brown areas including a subelliptical central area involving the central tubercle. Prothorax cylindrical, slightly enlarged centrally. Elytra with arched dark brown band on anterior half and two rows of erect setae, or with abundant relatively short setae slightly organized in rows. Antennae 1.9–2.15 times elytral length, reaching elytral apex at base of antennomere IX or at apex of antennomere VIII. Femora with abundant yellowish-white pubescence not obscuring integument. Ventral surface of abdomen reddish brown, except pale yellow apical margin of ventrites 1–4.
