Pantomorus

Adult Pantomorus are weevils of the family Curculionidae. Body length 5.0–8.0 mm. Vestiture consists of appressed round scales and fine, erect to suberect setae. Setae on dorsum fine, suberect, shorter and anteriorly directed on head and pronotum, longer and posteriorly directed on elytra, forming 1–4 irregular lines along each interval, longer on apical declivity. Pronotum subcylindrical to slightly subconical, with five longitudinal stripes extended along midline, dorsum and margins; posterolateral angles produced, directed outwards. Elytra oval, convex, lacking humeri or with vestigial humeri, densely covered with setae; scales rounded, broadly overlapped, sometimes forming circles around punctures and setae. Legs covered with small, round, scattered scales and fine setae. Venter with whitish scales on sides of abdomen and suberect setae. Color pattern variable, often with whitish stripes and maculae on pronotum and elytra.
