Morphological Features

Adult virginoparae are 1.5–3.0 mm long, brownish or purple. Body covered by woolly secretions of fine filaments. Antennae filiform, 6-segmented. Mouthparts well developed. Thorax with 4–6 well-defined tubercles. Two pairs of membranous wings; front wing with branched median vein. Tarsi 2-segmented, each bearing two claws.
