Morphological Features
Head and thorax pale greenish yellow, usually unmarked. Head as wide as pronotum. Vertex broadly rounded in typical specimens, greenish yellow lacking any markings; some specimens have a more angled vertex with brown mottling on disc. Tegmina brown, with dorsal brown patch of more even texture than rest of tegmen, often with median patch pale to form donut-shaped dorsal marking when tegmina folded. Abdomen evenly pale ventrally or dark with pale mottling. Female seventh sternite 2.5 times as wide at base as long medially, posterior margin with median notch with lateral triangular projection, posterolateral angles acutely rounded. Aedeagus with shafts widely divergent, broad throughout, apically obliquely truncate with apical enlarged posteromedial lobe. Parameres with apical lobe elongate, curved slightly posteriorly to be almost parallel with opposing paramere lobe.

PRJNA715047 SRX12762798 SRP342974 insect RNA-seq of Hishimonus phycitis After the total RNA extraction and DNase I treatment, magnetic beads with Oligo (dT ) are used to isolate mRNA. Mixed with the fragmentation buffer, the mRNA is fragmented into short fragments. Then cDNA is synthesized using the mRNA fragments as templates. Short fragments are purified and resolved with EB buffer for end reparation and single nucleotide A (adenine) addition. After that, the short fragments are connected with adapters. The suitable fragments are selected for the PCR amplification as templates. During the QC steps, Agilent 2100 Bioanaylzer and ABIStepOnePlus Real-Time PCR System are used in quantification and qualification of the sample library.
