Acalypta

Body length 2.0–2.5 mm. General habitus ovate, dorsoventrally flattened. Head with a pair of frontal spines separated at apices, reaching apex of clypeus; antenniferous tubercle present. Antennae densely covered with minute pubescence on segments I–III and long pubescence on segment IV; segment II conical, shortest; segment III linear, longest, not thickened basally; segment lengths: I 0.15 mm, II 0.10 mm, III 0.60–0.80 mm, IV 0.20–0.25 mm. Rostrum reaching anterior part of abdominal sternite II. Pronotum glabrous, 3/4 times as long as maximum width across paranota; hood roof-shaped, shorter than median carina, wider than vertex, not covering compound eye, with 5 rows of areolae at highest part; median carina straight, with a single row of areolae throughout; lateral carina absent or reduced, shorter than hood, without or with a single minute areola; paranotum horizontally expanding, as wide as hood, not narrowed posteriorly, with 3–4 rows of areolae throughout. Hemelytra with Sc, Hc, R+M, and Cu veins distinct throughout; costal area with 2–3 rows of areolae basally, a single row medially, and 1–2 rows apically; hypocostal lamina with a single row of areolae. Legs brown. Abdomen ovate, glabrous except for terminalia, smooth anteriorly, coarsely punctate posteriorly. Coloration: most parts of head, antennal segment IV, calli, and abdomen dark brown; frontal spine, pronotum except calli, hemelytron, and sternal laminae pale brown; antenniferous tubercle, antennal segments I–III, ventral thorax except sternal laminae, and legs brown.
