Pochazia shantungensis
Brown Winged Cicada
Pochazia shantungensis is a species of planthopper in the family Ricaniidae. Another scientific name for it is Ricania shantungensis, more commonly known as the brown winged cicada This species is considered an agricultural and forestry pest. It is mainly found along the roadsides in the Zhejiang Province. Also found in orchards in the Shantung province. It has been classified as an invasive species since it was initially found western parts of South Korea in 2009. and Turkey.

Morphological Features
Body length (including tegmen): male 11.2–13.0 mm, female 12.4–14.1 mm. Tegmen length: male 10.2–12.0 mm, female 11.0–13.5 mm. Frons to distal abdomen length: male 5.6–7.8 mm, female 6.0–8.1 mm. Ground color brown to dark brown. Tegmina with a white costal spot, triangular in shape. Wax layer brown. Fifth instar nymph: general color white with dark brown patches; head width (including eyes) 1.32–1.33 mm. Wing pads brown to dark brown, except base and costal margin; anterior wing pad with a pair of large black spots. Male genitalia: phallic complex with dorsal process shorter than 1/2 length of phallobase; lateral process short, curved mediad; ventral process curved laterad. Female genitalia: anal segment 1.0× length of gonoplac.
