Morphological Features
Body dark brown to black, with nearly indistinct metallic sheen on abdomen; fronto-orbital plate and ocellar triangle paler. Ocellar triangle with sides convex, nearly meeting past midpoint and attaining anterior margin of frons. Anterior portion of buccal cavity narrowed, not much wider than clypeus. Length of ultimate section of vein M4 divided by penultimate section: 0.8–1.0. Halter dark brown to black. Male surstylus narrow with several scattered rows of tubercle-like setae at apex and inner-distal surface.
