Trioza erytreae, the African citrus psyllid, is a sap-sucking insect, a hemipteran bug in the family Triozidae. It is an important pest of citrus, being one of only two known vectors of the serious citrus disease, huanglongbing or citrus greening disease. It is widely distributed in Africa. The other vector is the Asian citrus psyllid, Diaphorina citri.

Morphological Features
Head from above almost as wide as mesoscutum; vertex pentagonal with anterior margin deeply incised by median suture; genal cones well developed, elongate conical with rounded apices; antennal flagellum 2.08–2.81× longer than head width. Thorax strongly arched; pronotum strongly rounded down behind occiput. Forewing hyaline, elongate oval, 2.79–3.09× longer than wide, veins bearing short setae. Male paramere ovoid, broadening medially then narrowing towards apex; proctiger narrower with less-developed lateral lobes; apical segment of aedeagus simple. Female genital segment short, conical; subgenital plate with a ventral bulge; ventral valves of ovipositor weakly serrate apically
