Morphological Features

Larva (ultimolarva/pseudopupa) broadly oval, tapered posteriorly, about 0.8 mm long and 0.5 mm wide. Body flat, scale-like, often covered with quaint wax secretion. Vestigial legs and antennae of usual size and shape for Aleyrodidae larvae. Dorsal disc setae forming one pair in anterior part of body, one pair near transverse moulting suture, and one pair near anal apparatus. Ventral setae forming two symmetrical pairs on last abdominal segments. Abdomen with a very sclerotised median rachis without lateral arms. Thoracic tracheal clefts distinct with fold represented by an oval or semi-circular shaped area extending into submarginal area.
