Establece medida provisional para el cumplimiento de la exigencia del resuelvo 9 de la Resolución 9.915 de 2019, que establece requisitos fitosanitarios de importación para tubérculos de papa (Solanum tuberosum L.), destinados a consumo, procedente de Argentina (Provisional measure to ensure compliance with Resolve 9 of Resolution No. 9.915 of 2019, which establishes phytosanitary requirements governing the importation of potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) tubers for consumption from Argentina)

The notified text establishes phytosanitary requirements in the light of the health emergency caused by COVID-19, to waive the requirement for on-site verification by SAG of processing plants and their facilities for anti-sprouting treatment of potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) tubers for consumption from Argentina, that express interest in exporting to Chile for the first time, or that have ceased shipments for two or more seasons, in order to assess the conditions for their approval.
For enabling resolutions to be issued, the Servicio Nacional de Sanidad Agraria, SENASA (National Agrarian Health Service) must submit an official technical report to SAG for analysis.
This provisional measure shall only cover the 2021-2022 season (i.e. the period between 20 June 2021 and 20 June 2022).
