Given the restrictions resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, and the need to maintain the smooth flow of trade between Brazil and Chile, it has been decided to temporarily suspend the in-person checks carried out by the Agriculture and Livestock Service (SAG). These checks will be assigned to the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply (MAPA) of Brazil.
For enabling resolutions to be issued, MAPA must send SAG a list of the production sites and packing companies that wish to participate for the first time in the programme for exporting fresh melons (Cucumis melo) and watermelons (Citrullus lanatus) to Chile.
