Draft Resolution of the Colombian Agricultural Institute "Establishing the health requirements for the entry into and exit from the country of dogs and cats for companionship or commercial purposes, and other provisions"

In connection with Resolution No. 2656 of 13 March 2019, notified on 20 May 2019 through the World Trade Organization in document G/SPS/N/COL/281/Add.1, the Republic of Colombia hereby advises that, given the current transit conditions for dogs and cats entering and exiting the country with multiple destinations and origins and the potential risk of introducing and spreading animal diseases that this entails, it is necessary to establish new sanitary requirements for the entry into and exit from the country of dogs and cats for companionship or commercial purposes.
