Updating of the phytosanitary certificate with the current acronym of the Ministerio de Desarrollo Agrario y Riego, MIDAGRI (Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation), and the SENASA logo.

In the notified document, Peru is notifying its trading partners of an updated format for phytosanitary certificates, in order to avoid any disruption to trade. As a result of the creation of the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation, MIDAGRI, which replaces the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, MINAGRI, any official documents issued will differ slightly from current documents.
The changes involve the current acronym: MIDAGRI and the SENASA logo. In addition, the new format for phytosanitary certificates will be issued from 23 August 2021. It is important to bear in mind that any phytosanitary certificate reissued from that date onwards will also be under the updated format, even if the certificate it replaces was submitted using the previous format.
SENASA emphasizes that the current format continues to follow the international standards for phytosanitary measures and that the other characteristics and security features of phytosanitary certificates remain.
