Modifica Resolución N° 4.912 de 2004 que establece requisitos fitosanitarios de ingreso para polen de las especies que indica (Amendment to Resolution No. 4.912 of 2004 establishing phytosanitary requirements governing the importation of pollen of the indicated species)

This measure amends Resolution No. 4.912 of 2004 as follows:
1.1. The additional declaration for Actinidia spp. pollen has been replaced with the following in the table in Resolve 1.1.:
SPECIES: Actinidia spp.
Additional declaration to be specified in the phytosanitary certificate: Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidiae, excluding biovar 3, is not present in (insert country of origin).
1.2. Resolve 2 has been replaced by the following:
"2. An alternative additional declaration stating that the pollen comes from a country free from the pest will also be accepted."
1.3. Resolve 5 has been replaced by the following:
"5. For countries in which Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidiae, excluding biovar 3, is present and that wish to export Actinidia spp. pollen to Chile, the exporting country's national plant protection organization (NPPO) shall be required to send, in advance, official information on the control measures, monitoring and regulations relating to the pest in the country, and specifications on the method of obtaining the pollen and on phytosanitary treatments to control the disease, if any are applied.
Following the assessment of the information sent by the NPPO and, if it is sufficient and meets the requirements, the SAG will authorize the importation of pollen from that origin by issuing a resolution on a case-by-case basis, upon request by the importer."
