Fija exigencias sanitarias para la importación de tripas de cerdo y deroga Resolución Exenta Nº 3.275 de 1994 (Sanitary requirements governing the importation of swine casings, and repeal of Exempt Resolution No. 3.275 of 1994)

The notified draft Resolution establishes the following sanitary requirements governing the importation into Chile of swine casings. The following amendments should be noted in relation to the measure originally notified:
- Swine casings imported from countries or areas free from foot-and-mouth disease may come from both vaccinated and unvaccinated animals.
- Swine casings may come from animals that have been imported into the country that is exporting the casings to Chile, provided that the sanitary requirements established by Chile for breeding swine are fulfilled.
- Separate treatments are established for the inactivation of the foot-and-mouth disease, classical swine fever and African swine fever viruses, with the most stringent treatment being carried out when two or more of these diseases are present in the country or area.
