Establece límites máximos de contaminantes en alimentos completos, suplementos, aditivos e ingredientes destinados a la alimentación de especies de consumo humano y deroga Resolución N° 7.885 de 2017 (Maximum levels for contaminants in complete feed, supplements, additives and ingredients intended for feed for species for human consumption, and repeal of Resolution No. 7.885 of 2017)

The notified measure establishes the list of contaminants, the maximum levels permitted, and the analytical techniques to be carried out on complete feed, supplements, additives and ingredients intended for feed for productive species for human consumption.
The purpose of doing so is to prevent animal feed from becoming a carrier of disease agents or microbiological (salmonella and enterobacteria) or chemical (heavy metals, mycotoxins, antimicrobial residues, banned colourants and melamine) contaminants, which may be transmitted to food for human consumption.
