Draft Supreme Decree approving the sanitary standard establishing sanitary criteria for hydrobiological resources and products and feed used in aquaculture

The National Fish Health Agency (SANIPES) hereby advises that the draft Supreme Decree approving the sanitary standard establishing sanitary criteria for hydrobiological resources and products and feed used in aquaculture (G/SPS/N/PER/928), notified on 26 May 2021, has been subject to the following amendments:
Incorporation of Article 9.2 on the list of imported goods and risk assessment; updating of the maximum levels for lead in crustaceans; incorporation of a new article (Article 20) on the viability of parasites in cured hydrobiological products; modification of the sanitary requirements for chemicals (metals) in algae; incorporation of the veterinary product Imidacloprid and its maximum residue limit into Annex IV; updating of the maximum levels for undesirable substances in raw materials of hydrobiological origin used for feed, including the feed used in aquaculture listed in Annex VII; incorporation of Article 26.6 on verifying the organoleptic properties of the preserving liquid used for preserve-style hydrobiological products; updating of Annex IX "List of physical and chemical testing methods for hydrobiological products" to remove the physical and chemical criteria for crude and semi-refined oil; removal of benzo(a)pyrene for refined and semi-refined fish oil; and removal of Annex X "Health criteria for sanitary certificates for imports".
