Fija exigencias sanitarias para la internación a Chile de sebo o grasa de bovino, porcino, ovino, caprino y aves, y deja sin efecto Resolución Exenta N° 27 de 2000 (Sanitary requirements for the importation into Chile of tallow or fat of bovine animals, pigs, sheep, goats and poultry, and repeal of Exempt Resolution No. 27 of 2000)

The notified text establishes sanitary requirements applicable to the animals from which the products originate, as well as the required treatments, with the aim of minimizing the risk of introduction into the country of foot-and-mouth disease, classical swine fever, African swine fever, Newcastle disease and avian influenza. It also lays down the packaging and transport requirements for the products.
This measure seeks to update and harmonize the domestic regulations concerning the sanitary requirements to be met by the fats of bovine animals, sheep, goats, pigs and poultry, on the basis of the available technical information and the recommendations of the international reference bodies.
