Modifica Resolución N° 4.912 de 2004 que establece requisitos fitosanitarios de ingreso para polen de las especies que indica y deroga Resolución N° 106 de 2022 (Amendment to Resolution No. 4.912 of 2004 establishing phytosanitary requirements governing the importation of pollen of the indicated species, repealing Resolution No. 106 of 2022)

Based on the pest risk analysis (PRA) for the quarantine pest Erwinia amylovora, absent from Chile, phytosanitary requirements have been established which govern the importation into Chile of pollen of the species indicated in the draft resolution.
It is also stipulated that:
- Pollen of the species indicated in the Resolution may only enter through, and the relevant import procedures may only be carried out at, the SAG External Trade Office at Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport in the city of Santiago, Metropolitan Region;
- Each consignment will be inspected and sampled by the SAG at the point of entry to ensure completion of the additional declarations and compliance with the phytosanitary requirements set out in the regulation;
- Upon the detection of quarantine pests listed in Resolution No. 3.080 of 2003, or of unlisted pests identified as quarantine pests by a PRA, whether or not an additional declaration is required under the regulation, the application of phytosanitary measures will be assessed in line with the phytosanitary risk identified;
- The importer must declare the genetic status of materials genetically modified by modern technology and comply with SAG regulations establishing requirements for the importation and introduction into the environment of these types of material.
