The DLD order on temporary suspension of importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from the Philippines to prevent the spread of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (Serotype H5N1)

The OIE has reported an outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in the Province of Pampanga and in the Province of Bulacan in the Philippines. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from the Philippines is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days after date of publication in the Thai Royal Gazette (31 March 2022).
