Notice of Administration Order of Saudi Food and Drug Authority Ref. No. 20838 dated 15 March 2022 (12/08/1443 AH) entitled "Temporary ban on the importation of poultry meat, eggs and their products originating from Delaware and Kentucky states, United States of America".On 21 April 2022, SFDA has subsequently issued the Administrative Order Ref. No. 23821 , entitled "Temporary ban on the importation of poultry meat, eggs and their products originating from Minnesota states, United States of America".Based on OIE reports, Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza virus (HPAI) outbreaks have occurred in Minnesota states, United States of America. In compliance with the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) Terrestrial Animal Health Code Chapter 10.4, it is deemed necessary for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the entry of HPAI into the country. Therefore, the import of poultry meat, eggs and their products (with the exception of processed poultry meat and egg products exposed to either heat or other treatments that ensure deactivation of avian influenza viruses) from Delaware, Kentucky, and Minnesota states, United States of America into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is temporarily suspended.
