The notified Resolution amends Resolution No. 7.675 of 2016 by replacing the text of clause 2 of the Resolution with the following: "For each seed species specified in clause 1 of this Resolution, an alternative additional declaration stating that the pest/s is/are not present in the country of origin will be accepted. However, in the case of Tomato brown rugose fruit virus (ToBRFV), it cannot be certified by means of an alternative additional declaration that the pest is not present in the country of origin, as certification by sampling and official laboratory analysis is mandatory". It should also be noted that shipments en route to Chile with a certification dated prior to the entry into force of this standard shall be exempt from this requirement.
