Description
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA or we) is denying a food additive petition (FAP 6B4815) submitted by Natural Resources Defense Council, et al., requesting that we amend or revoke specified regulations to no longer provide for the food contact use of 28 ortho-phthalates. (We use the terms "phthalates" and "orthophthalates" interchangeably in this notification to refer to the subset of phthalates substituted in the "ortho" position).
