Import suspension of poultry meat and egg products from Tuolumne and El Dorado Counties in California in the United States of America

In order to prevent the introduction of High Pathogenicity Avian Influenza (HPAI) virus into Japan, MAFF has suspended the import of poultry meat and egg products from Tuolumne and El Dorado Counties in California in the United States of America, including those shipped through third countries, since 31 August 2022 for Tuolumne County and 15 September 2022 for El Dorado County, based on Articles 37 and 44 of the "Act on Domestic Animal Infectious Disease Control" and "Animal Health Requirements for the poultry meat etc. to be exported to Japan from the United States".
