Resolución exenta No. 7450/2022: Establece criterio de inspección para envíos de fruta fresca de plátanos (Musa spp.) de origen Ecuador (Exempt Resolution No. 7450/2022 establishing inspection criteria for shipments of fresh bananas (Musa spp.) originating in Ecuador)

The notified Exempt Resolution establishes the following inspection criteria for shipments of fresh bananas (Musa spp.) originating in Ecuador that are presented for import processing: − SAG inspectors stationed at authorized points of entry will inspect at least 20% of the containers of fresh bananas (Musa spp.) originating in Ecuador that are presented for import processing; − SAG will refuse any shipments that arrive in the country with a fraudulent phytosanitary certificate, as well as any regulated articles that fail to meet the phytosanitary requirements established in the current regulations; − For shipments that are not subject to phytosanitary inspections, SAG will conclude the import process once the documents have been verified and an agricultural product inspection report has been issued, which will allow importers or their representatives to freely take possession of their merchandise.
