New GB MRL for lambda cyhalothrin amending the GB MRL Statutory Register

Lambda cyhalothrin is an approved active substance in Great Britain. An application was received by the Health and Safety Executive to set a new MRL for avocados. Following assessment, a new (raised) MRL has been introduced to set import tolerances.The Evaluation Report and Reasoned Opinion supporting the new MRL is available at the following link.   Details on the MRL can be found within this document, see page 4.The evaluation of a new MRL for lambda-cyhalothrin in or on avocadosThe residue levels arising in food from the notified use results in consumer exposures below the toxicological reference values and therefore harmful effects on human health are not expected. As the residue levels exceed the current MRL in force, a new MRL is being adopted.
