The DLD order on temporary suspension of importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Germany to prevent the spread of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (Subtype H5N1)

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 7 March 2023, the suspension for importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Germany has expired on 5 June 2023. However, the WOAH has reported a continued outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in the area of Germany. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) disease into the country. By the virtue of Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Germany is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days since 6 June 2023 onward in the Thai Royal Gazette.
