Resolución Exenta No. 4.690/2023 que Modifica Resolución No. 1.187 de 2022 que aprueba texto coordinado y sistematizado de la Resolución que establece requisitos fitosanitarios de ingreso para semillas de cereales (Exempt Resolution 4.690/2023 amending Resolution No. 1.187 of 2022, which approves the coordinated and consolidated text of the Resolution establishing phytosanitary import requirements for cereal seeds)

Chile hereby advises that the notified text has been triggered as a result of the actions conducted the phytosanitary surveillance programme. The presence of wheat streak mosaic virus (WSMV) has been reported in the country; accordingly, it has been removed from the list of quarantine pests not found in Chile. For this reason, Resolution No. 1.187 of 2022, which approves the coordinated and consolidated text of the Resolution establishing phytosanitary import requirements for cereal seeds, has been amended, and the additional declaration for Zea mays (maize) seeds in resolution No. 1.1 is to be replaced, so that it reads as follows: Species ADDITIONAL DECLARATION Zea mays (maize) This shipment is free from High Plains virus (HPV) on the basis of phytosanitary actions taken at origin. The phytosanitary import requirements for Zea mays (maize) seeds, established in the notified Resolution, entered into force as from the date of publication in the Official Journal, which took place on 3 August 2023.
