This Draft African Standard applies to canned shrimp or prawn in hermetically sealed containers and prepared from species of any of the following families: penaeidae, pandalidae, crangonidae and palaemonidae. It does not apply to specialty products where shrimp or prawn constitutes less than 50% m/m of the contents.
