Description
On 19 December 2023, MAFF has lifted the import suspension measures on importation of live poultry from the State of Mato Grosso do Sul in Brazil, which was implemented based on Article 37 and 44 of the “Act on Domestic Animal Infectious Disease Control” and other relevant requirements in order to prevent the introduction of High pathogenicity Avian Influenza (HPAI) virus into Japan.
