Amendments to Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/2072

G/SPS/N/GBR/50 of 21 December 2023 notified planned amendments to England, Scotland and Wales (Great Britain) retained legislation (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU)2019/2072). Regarding the addition of Solanum sisymbriifolium seed as a new known host to the existing Regulated Non-Quarantine Pest (RNQP) Potato spindle tuber viroid (PSTVd), we would like to clarify that seed of Solanum sisymbriifolium will require official testing to certify pest freedom. In addition, the seed of all Solanum species will require a Phytosanitary Certificate and additional checks (however, if additional checks are already being applied no further additional checks would be needed). This amendment will come into force on 9 November 2024.The addition of Agrilus maliLonsdalea populi and Orgyia leucostigma as provisional quarantine pests will come into force on 9 November 2024.Further information on all the measures can be found at:
