Resolución 001-2024 ARP-IPSA - Establecimiento de Requisitos Fitosanitarios para la Importación de Semillas de pimiento (Capsicum annuum L.) origen y procedentes de España (Resolution No. 001-2024 ARP-IPSA establishing phytosanitary requirements governing the importation of botanical pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) seeds originating in and coming from Spain)

The notified Resolution establishes the phytosanitary requirements governing the importation of botanical pepper (Casicum annuum L.) seeds coming from Spain: • Botanical pepper seeds originating in Spain that enter Nicaragua must come from areas or sites that are free from the following pests: Pseudomonas viridiflava, tomato brown rugose fruit virus, tomato bushy stunt virus, tomato mosaic virus, pepper mild mottle virus and potato spindle tuber viroid. • The phytosanitary certificate must include an additional declaration confirming inspection by the National Plant Protection Organization and indicating that the seeds are free from: Pseudomonas viridiflava, tomato brown rugose fruit virus, tomato bushy stunt virus, tomato mosaic virus, pepper mild mottle virus and potato spindle tuber viroid. • Containers must be new, duly labelled and marked, indicating the species, variety and country of origin. • The seeds will be subject to phytosanitary inspection at the point of entry into the country.
