Origen y Procedentes de Tailandia (Resolution No. 003-2024 ARP-IPSA: Phytosanitary requirements for the importation of tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) seeds from Thailand)

The notified Resolution establishes the phytosanitary requirements for the importation of tomato seeds coming from Thailand: • Tomato seeds originating in Thailand that enter Nicaragua must come from areas or sites that are free from the following pests: Alternaria brassicicola, Acidovorax citrulli, cucumber mosaic virus, Xanthomonas euvesicatoria pv. perforans, Passalora fulva and cowpea mild mottle virus; • The phytosanitary certificate must include an additional declaration confirming inspection by the National Plant Protection Organization and indicating that the seeds are free from: Alternaria brassicicola, Acidovorax citrulli, cucumber mosaic virus, Xanthomonas euvesicatoria pv. perforans, Passalora fulva and cowpea mild mottle virus; • Containers must be new, duly labelled and marked, indicating the species, variety and country of origin. • The seeds will be subject to phytosanitary inspection at the point of entry.
