The DLD order on temporary suspension of the importation or transit of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Germany to prevent the spread of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (Subtype H7N5)

According to the announcement of the Government Gazette dated 26 April 2024, the suspension for the importation or transit of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Germany, has expired on 26 July 2024. However, the WOAH has reported a continued outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in the area of Germany. Therefore, it is necessary for Thailand to prevent the entry of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) disease into the country. By the virtue of the Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), the importation or transit of live poultry and poultry carcasses from Germany is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days after the date of publication in the Thai Royal Gazette.
