Import suspension of raw milk and/or un-heated/un-treated milk products from Germany

In order to prevent the introduction of Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) virus into Japan, MAFF has suspended the import of raw milk and/or un-heated/un-treated milk products from Germany, including those shipped through third countries, on 11 January 2025 based on the "Animal Health Requirements for raw milk and/or milk products to be exported to Japan from Listed countries" and the Articles 37 and 44 of the "Act on Domestic Animal Infectious Disease Control".This is to inform that MAFF has removed Germany from the listed countries.MAFF also moved the list which had been mentioned in the Animal Health Requirements to the MAFF website.
