Aprueba texto coordinado y sistematizado de resolución que establece requisitos para el ingreso de vegetales frescos para el consumo procedentes de Argentina, actualiza requisitos de las especies que se indica y deroga Resolución Exenta N° 4.658 de 2006 (Approval of the coordinated and consolidated text of the Resolution establishing requirements for the importation of fresh plants for consumption from Argentina, updating of requirements for certain species, and repeal of Exempt Resolution No. 4

The notified measure establishes phytosanitary import requirements for fresh plant products for consumption from Argentina, for certain species and types of material.On the basis of, inter alia, a pest risk analysis, Helicoverpa armigera has been identified as a quarantine pest absent from Chile. There is a risk of introduction of the pest through the fruit of Solanum melongena, fresh ears of Zea mays and the pods of Phaseolus vulgaris and Pisum sativum, for which reason the phytosanitary import requirements and phytosanitary measures to reduce the risk of the pest entering the country need to be updated.Further details can be found in the document attached to this notification.
