This Draft Uganda Standard specifies the requirements for egg laying chickens includes laying hens kept for commercial egg production for human consumption, and pullets from hatch until sexual maturity. It covers welfare aspect of commercial laying hens, production systems in caged and non-cage systems, in doors and out doors systems.
