Proposed GB MRLs for emamectin amending the GB MRL Statutory Register

The draft Reasoned Opinion on the review of the MRLs is available at the following link:The review of the MRLs for emamectin in or on lettuces and milk The document outlines the proposed MRLs for emamectin following a review of the MRLs by the Health and Safety Executive: The review of the MRLs for emamectin in or on lettuces and milk.docxThe following CXLs are being proposed for adoption:   Leaves of Brassicaceae (subgroup) (0.2 mg/kg), except for kales; spinach (0.05 mg/kg); tea, green, black (black, fermented and dried) (0.1 mg/kg); edible offal (mammalian) (0.1 mg/kg); milks (0.003 mg/kg). The proposed measure raises the MRLs for Chinese cabbage, others – leafy brassicas, spinach, tea and edible offals. The proposed measure lowers the MRLs for lettuces from 1.0 mg/kg to 0.01 mg/kg and milk from 0.01 mg/kg to 0.003 mg/kg.  This measure retains the previous MRLs for all other commodities.  For lettuce and milk the risk assessments concluded that UK level of protection was not met by the current GB MRLs so they are proposed to be lowered. New/raised MRLs are being adopted as the CXLs meet the UK’s appropriate level of protection.
