The notified Resolution establishes the phytosanitary requirements governing the importation of barley (Hordeum vulgare) grain originating in and coming from Canada.1. The phytosanitary certificate must include the following additional declaration: the barley grain has been officially inspected by the national plant protection organization (NPPO) of the country of origin and is free from: Fallopia convolvulus, Trogoderma variabile, Lepidium draba, Lolium multiflorum;2. The IPSA inspector will take a sample to be sent to the Phytosanitary Diagnostics and Seed Quality Laboratory. The shipment will be held until the analysis results are obtained.Shipments will be subject to phytosanitary control by plant quarantine inspectors from the Institute for Agricultural and Livestock Protection and Health, who will verify compliance with the phytosanitary requirements and decide whether or not to authorize importation, on the basis of the accompanying documents.
