Resolución 005-2025-IPSA, Establecimiento de Requisitos Fitosanitarios para la Importación de Grano de Ajonjolí (Sesamum indicum) procedentes de Egipto (Resolution No. 005-2025-IPSA establishing phytosanitary requirements for the importation of sesame seeds (Sesamum indicum) from Egypt)

The notified Resolution establishes the phytosanitary requirements governing the importation of sesame seeds (Sesamum indicum) originating in and coming from Egypt.1. The phytosanitary certificate must include the following additional declaration: Sesame seeds officially inspected by the national plant protection organization (NPPO) of the country of origin and found to be free from Trogoderma granarium;2. The IPSA inspector will take a sample to be sent to the Phytosanitary Diagnostics and Seed Quality Laboratory. The shipment will be held until the analysis results are received.Shipments will be subject to phytosanitary control by plant quarantine inspectors from the Institute for Agricultural and Livestock Protection and Health, who will verify compliance with the phytosanitary requirements and decide whether or not to authorize importation, on the basis of the accompanying documents.
