Modificación del Título III, de los Aditivos Alimentarios del Reglamento Sanitario de los Alimentos, Decreto Supremo N° 977/96 del Ministerio de Salud (Amendment to Title III (Food Additives) of the Food Health Regulations, Ministry of Health Supreme Decree No. 977/96)

The aim of the notified draft Amendment to Title III of the Food Health Regulations is to improve the drafting and structure of the text and to include additives that are on the Codex Alimentarius list or are used in other countries. Classification of additives according to their main technological purpose.Establishment of limits for colours and sweeteners.Reorganization of articles, including changes to the numbering of certain ones, in order to group those containing only text at the end.Inclusion of additives covered by the CODEX and/or by European Union regulations.Removal of additives that are no longer in use.Improvements to the definitions of flavourings. Harmonization of the presentation of the articles in paragraph II.
