Established Maximum Residue Limit: Clothianidin

The proposed maximum residue limit (PMRL) document for clothianidin notified in G/SPS/N/CAN/996 (dated 22 February 2016) was adopted 15 May 2016. The proposed MRLs were established via entry into the Maximum Residue Limits Database and are provided directly below:

1 The recommended import MRL of 3 ppm for CG 4 will replace the MRLs of 0.2 ppm (head lettuce) and 0.5 ppm (leaf lettuce).
2 The currently established MRL of 0.3 ppm in/on potatoes and sweet potato roots will be extended to the whole crop subgroup 1C.

MRLs are established for each commodity included in the listed crop groupings in accordance with the Residue Chemistry Crop Groups webpage (http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/cps-spc/pest/part/protect-proteger/food-nourriture/rccg-gcpcr-eng.php) in the Pesticides and Pest Management section of Health Canada's website.
