Revision of the Standards and Specifications for Foods and Food Additives under the Food Sanitation Law (Revision of agricultural chemical residue standards)

Proposed maximum residue limits (MRLs) for the following agricultural chemicals:
Pesticide: Fluazifop-butyl.
The draft maximum residue limits (MRLs) for Fluazifop-butyl were circulated for comments through the WTO/SPS notification as G/SPS/N/JPN/458 on 10 May 2016. The MHLW has decided to modify the draft MRLs for Fluazifop-butyl in Cucumber and Strawberry because the MHLW found out that Fluazifop-butyl is not used for such commodities in Japan and other countries.
