The notified document establishes the phytosanitary requirements governing the importation of fresh peeled cassava (Manihot esculenta) for human consumption originating in and coming from Honduras.1. The shipment must be accompanied by an official phytosanitary certificate from the country of origin certifying that the plant product comes from a place of production officially inspected by the national plant protection organization of the country of origin;2. The shipment will be subject to phytosanitary inspection by inspectors from the Quarantine Directorate at an agricultural quarantine facility at the point of entry into the country, for the implementation of appropriate phytosanitary measures.Shipments will be subject to phytosanitary checks by plant quarantine inspectors from the Institute for Agricultural and Livestock Protection and Health, who will verify compliance with the phytosanitary requirements and decide whether or not to authorize importation, on the basis of the accompanying documents.
