Resolución exenta Nº:6725/2017, Modifica Resolución N° 3.418 de 2002 que dispone requisitos de internación para estructuras subterráneas de reproducción vegetativa de especies ornamentales, como medida emergencial contra la plaga Xylella fastidiosa (Exempt Resolution No. 6725/2017 amending Resolution No. 3.418 of 2002 establishing requirements for the importation into Chile of underground structures for the vegetative propagation of ornamental species, as an emergency measure against the pest Xy

The notified Exempt Resolution amends Resolution No. 3.418 of 2002 by adding to point 4 the following new additional declaration for the Ranunculus spp. species: "The Ranunculus repens rhizomes derive from mother plants that were inspected and tested (specify diagnostic technique) at the optimal time for detecting pests and found to be free from Xylella fastidiosa." This phytosanitary requirement will enter into force on the date of publication of this Exempt Resolution in the Official Journal.
Consignments of Ranunculus repens rhizomes originating in countries where Xylella fastidiosa is present must comply with the phytosanitary measure of post-entry quarantine, which will enter into force six months from the date of publication of this Exempt Resolution in the Official Journal.
The importation of plant material and post-entry quarantine must be authorized by the SAG on a case-by-case basis, in accordance with the regulations on post-entry quarantine currently in force.
