Resolución N° 6.466 de 2017 que Modifica Resolución N° 6.319 de 2013 que establece requisitos fitosanitarios para el control de Halyomorpha halys (Resolution No. 6.466 of 2017 amending Resolution No. 6.319 of 2013, which establishes phytosanitary requirements for the control of Halyomorpha halys)

The notified Resolution establishes phytosanitary measures for the control of Halyomorpha halys (Order: Hemiptera, family: Pentatomidae), a quarantine pest for Chile which has been intercepted at entry points into the country in shipments of used clothing, toys and vehicles from the United States of America, and which makes these goods dangerous to plants.
The main changes are the following:
- The asterisked paragraph in Article 1 of the operative section will include the following phrase: "used vehicle parts and fittings";
- Article 2 in the operative section will be replaced with text indicating which entities may carry out treatments in the country of origin, and the conditions and location for treatments in national territory, if required;
- Article 3 of the operative section will be replaced with text stipulating that treatments, depending on the imported product, must comply with established technical specifications. This applies to treatment at origin with pyrethroid insecticides, fumigation treatment with methyl bromide and phosphine, and other treatments indicated by the Service.
