The notified Resolution orders the temporary suspension of imports of the commodities indicated in Chapter 10.4 ("Infection with high pathogenicity avian influenza viruses") of the OMSA Terrestrial Animal Health Code that are traded openly and originate in the affected provinces (Badajoz and Toledo), and that were produced or obtained 21 calendar days prior to the beginning of the notified outbreak and from establishments that have received products from provinces affected by the avian influenza virus.This excludes products that may be subject to certain mitigation measures at the place of origin, in accordance with the aforementioned Chapter of the OIE Terrestrial Animal Health Code, for which the sanitary certificates accompanying imports must indicate the mitigation measures to which any of the avian products were subject, including irradiation treatment, cooking time and temperature, pasteurization or sterilization.SENASA may permit the resumption of trade in the aforementioned goods 28 days after a stamping-out policy has been completed (following disinfection of the last affected holding), provided that surveillance has been carried out during this period in accordance G/SPS/N/CRI/329- 2 - with Articles 10.4.26 to 10.4.30, in particular Article 10.4.28(3), and has demonstrated the absence of infection.
